The stretch of river enjoyed by Gallatin River Ranch is almost unchanged since Lewis & Clark passed through the area in the 1800's. Many historical, geographical, and recreational landmarks are in our area . . . .

Yellowstone National Park, Hebgen and Quake Lakes, Virginia and Nevada Cities, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Big Sky Ski Resort, Moonlight Basin Ski Resort, Bridger Bowl Ski Resort, the Headwaters of the Missouri... the list goes on and on.

The proliferation of fish, birds and animals, both game and non-game species, is truly remarkable. This is one of the last strongholds for such rare species as bald eagles, osprey, otters, weasels, mink, martin, beaver, cranes, herons and pelicans.
|
Geese and ducks are hatched out here and are abundant in spring and fall. Trophy sized whitetail, mule deer and antelope are on Gallatin River Ranch, and elk are found occasionally and in good numbers in the surrounding foothills. All this is equalled by the quality and quantity of the trout here; many over six pounds are taken each year.
